Comtech Telecommunications Corp., a manufacturer of electronic components for the telecommunications industry, issued $40 million of Senior Notes.
Davel Communications Group, Inc., an operator of pay telephones and provider of long distance services, issued $45.5 million of Common Stock and Warrants.
Ralston Purina Company, an integrated food and pet food company, issued SF125 million bonds.
Undisclosed, US based developer and operator of healthclubs, secured joint venture partner and $20 million of senior and junior financing than to develop European healthclub.
Japan Airlines, an international airline company, issued $50 million bonds hedged into Yen.
Sundstrand Corporation, a leading defense and equipment manufacturer, privately placed $100 million variable rate preferred stock.
WilPro Energy Services (PIGAP II) Limited, an international gas compression project sponsored by The Williams Companies, Inc. and Hanover Compressor Company, raised $230MM through a project financing where the majority senior lender was represented in structuring and negotiating the transaction.
Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.) Inc., a U.S. subsidiary of a Japanese trading company, raised $50MM in a U.S private placement after previously being advised on shifting its bank borrowings to an unsecured basis in the U.S. and obtaining a higher debt rating than its parent company.
Middleby Corporation, a manufacturer of restaurant and foodservice cooking equipment, issued $25.0 million of subordinated notes.
Teletech Holdings, a business process outsourcing company, privately placed $75.0 million of senior notes.
Undisclosed, Merchant bank, raised $200 million in equity from joint venture partner for specialized lending program.
Waste Management, Inc., an environmental and waste services provider, privately placed $290.0 million of institutional senior debt.
Undisclosed, real estate developer, assisted in securing portion of capital required to finance $150 million mixed-use development in suburban Chicago.
Santa Fe Railway, a major US railroad, issued $225 million receivables securitization.
Schneider National, Inc., a multi-national trucking company with services spanning logistics, supply chain logistics management and transportation logistics, privately placed $20 million of senior debt.
JB Hunt, a provider of logistics management services and integrated transportation solutions, privately placed $50 million of senior debt.
Falcon First Inc., a cable television acquisition corporation, issued $210.7 million of debt and equity securities.
Ilya Salkind, producer of Superman Films I & II, issued $20 million of securities to finance the simultaneous production of both films.
Synagro Technologies, a recycler of biosolids and organic residuals, raised $305.0 million of senior debt.
